Italian fashion designer of the label Dolce & Gabbana, Stefano Gabbana created a fiasco as he called pop singer-actress Selena Gomez “ugly” on an Instagram page.
On Tuesday, The Catwalk Italia posted a collage of Selena Gomez wearing 5 different dresses in red. The post asked for comments from social media users, asking which look of Selena do they prefer the most. However, it took a turn for worse when Stefano commented on the post writing that Selena is “ugly".
Stefano wrote on the post: "È proprio brutta!!!” that roughly translates to "She's really ugly!" To make it worse for his sake, Stefano even liked and commented on a user’s comment that wrote Selena “looks like a Pomeranian dog.”
Soon after the comment was posted, social media users particularly fans of the singer bashed Stefano and demanded an apology be given to their star. They called his behaviour "disgusting" and "disrespectful" and shamed him for online bullying.
This is not the first time when Stefano has gotten in the middle of a social media fiasco as on an earlier occasion, Stefano wrote “No” on a photo of Kate Moss wearing a black Saint Laurent romper. He has even got into a feud with Miley Cyrus and brother Braison.
Meanwhile, fans of Selena stormed on Twitter, asking for reasons and apology for this kind of behaviour. Some tweeted:
