Grammy-award winning singer Adele has cancelled the last two sell-out concerts from her world tour, scheduled for this weekend in London's Wembley Stadium, after a throat doctor advised her not to perform due to damaged vocal cords.
The 29-year old singer had already done two Wembley shows, but said her vocals were stuggling.
Adele posted a lengthy statement on social media site Twitter, describing her struggles.
The singer, known for her powerful pipes and her love songs, said she was so desperate to perform that she considered miming the words on stage, but ultimately decided against it.
In the event she was not able to reschedule the concerts the singer said a refund would be available.
This is not the first time Adele has had this type of scare: She had to cancel concerts due to throat problems following vocal cord surgery in 2011.
Here's to hoping Adele gets better!
